My work addresses the two essential aspects of healthy landscapes and communities: improvements to the physical space that is our common ground, and strengthening the collaborative spirit and capacity of the people who care for it and use it. That is why I have developed a specialty in collaborative process to complement my expertise in landscape design and planning. I apply these skills in both the public and institutional arenas.

Depending on the scale and nature of each commission, I work alone or in partnership with other consulting firms. I bring my strengths in landscape planning, analysis and facilitation to a team, particularly where a difficult situation calls for a complex process or creative approach. Consulting partners include landscape architects, architects, planners, engineers, and preservation planners. Many of my projects have received awards locally and nationally.
